Let me start by sharing my passion for helping others. While I admit it’s not always the healthiest habit to put others before myself, I find so much joy in making people smile. It genuinely lifts my spirits to know I’ve made someone’s day a little brighter—especially if they were feeling down.
I’m also a very creative person. I love doing art and writing music as a way to express what I’m feeling—or sometimes what I can’t put into words. Music has become a powerful coping mechanism for me. It helps me through hard times and allows me to have fun while expressing myself.
In addition to music and visual art, I enjoy crocheting and tie-dyeing. I make hats, scarves, blankets, and even stuffed animals. One day, I hope to open my own tie-dye shop. It’s a dream rooted in both passion and creativity.
But more than anything, my future goal is to become a Special Education teacher. This goal comes from my personal experiences and the amazing support I’ve received throughout school. I had an I.E.P., and thanks to the dedicated teachers who supported me, I learned how to navigate the challenges. Because of that, I want to be the person who gives that same support to others—especially to kids who feel like they’re struggling.
I believe my experience gives me a special ability to connect with students who have I.E.P.s. I understand how it feels to be overwhelmed or unsure, and I want my students to know they’re not alone. I want to be the teacher who encourages them, guides them, and helps them believe in themselves.
By doing this, I believe I can make a meaningful difference in my students’ lives—helping them gain confidence, build their strengths, and realize how capable they truly are. Everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and reminded of how much potential they have.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting my journey.
